For the majority of mild sleep apnea cases many doctors and dentist agree that getting a custom fitted oral appliance works best for getting the proper type of treatment. Traditionally people would use the CPAP machine, however this is often not so liked by patients; mostly due to its uncomfortable nature of being worn while sleeping. Many people end up opting to go the route of oral appliance therapy because it is easier to sleep with an appliance in your mouth than a huge mask on your face, or having to go through painful and often times unsuccessful oral surgery.
